WordPress is terrible — I’ve told myself that every time I’ve started blogging, but I always seem to forget it somehow.
I chose it this time purely because I found a theme I actually really liked for its simplicity and lack of bloat, but it turns out WordPress doesn’t do simple. I’ve tried — unsuccessfully — to get several dual-language plugins to work, ones that would allow me to publish everything in both Danish and English at the same time. Either they just don’t work with my custom theme, or the developers are the worst kind of tech bros with zero understanding of UI/UX. So I gave up.
And that’s why, from now on, I’ll be posting in English only — it’s just easier, and I’ll reach a lot more people. “Yes yes, reach them with what?” you might be asking, because it’s not like I post a lot. That’ll change, I promise. I have a lot of things in the works and only a few roadblocks left before I can really get going. 🙂
